Overview

The Toddler Room Teacher is responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children. This role involves planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities, and fostering positive relationships with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Curriculum Development and Implementation: 
  • Assist in developing and implementing a comprehensive curriculum aligned with early childhood education standards.
  • Plan and execute daily activities that promote physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development.
  • Create a stimulating learning environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
• Child Supervision and Care: 
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
  • Supervise children during play, meals, and nap time.
  • Implement positive guidance techniques to manage behavior.
  • Assist children with basic needs, such as toileting and feeding.
• Parent Communication: 
  • Communicate with parents about children's development and progress.
  • Address parent concerns and questions in a timely and professional manner.
• Administrative Tasks: 
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records of children's attendance, health, and development.
  • Complete required paperwork and reports as assigned.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

Must be 21+ years of age

• Education:
  • Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: 
  • Experience working with young children preffered
• Certifications: 
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) certification preferred.
• Skills: 
  • Strong knowledge of child development and early learning principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create a positive and nurturing learning environment.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with young children.
