Overview
The Toddler Room Teacher is responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children. This role involves planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities, and fostering positive relationships with children and families.
Responsibilities
- Curriculum Development and Implementation:
- Assist in developing and implementing a comprehensive curriculum aligned with early childhood education standards.
- Plan and execute daily activities that promote physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development.
- Create a stimulating learning environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
- Child Supervision and Care:
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
- Supervise children during play, meals, and nap time.
- Implement positive guidance techniques to manage behavior.
- Assist children with basic needs, such as toileting and feeding.
- Parent Communication:
- Communicate with parents about children's development and progress.
- Address parent concerns and questions in a timely and professional manner.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of children's attendance, health, and development.
- Complete required paperwork and reports as assigned.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
Must be 21+ years of age
- Education:
- Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience:
- Experience working with young children preffered
- Certifications:
- Early Childhood Education (ECE) certification preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of child development and early learning principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a positive and nurturing learning environment.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with young children.
